Katrina Moore earned a Master of Arts in Counseling, specializing in Community Counseling, from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2014. Katrina also earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor of Anthropology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012.
Katrina has experience counseling individuals, couples, and family members in many different areas such as sexual abuse, domestic violence and trauma as well as mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and various personality disorders. Katrina uses relational cultural theory, motivational interviewing, EMDR and some gestalt therapeutic techniques as she crafts interventions to bolster and empower her clients. Additionally, she also integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapies, solution focused therapies, strength-based techniques and self-compassion exercises to tailor a treatment plan that will be most effective for each unique client she has the privilege of working with.
Katrina is passionate about her clientele in recovery and incorporates a 12-step model within therapy to support individuals throughout their healing at Soba Texas.
