San Antonio Partial Hospitalization Program

Whether you or a loved one are struggling with addiction, Soba Recovery in San Antonio has a specialized treatment plan waiting to help.

Not everyone can enter into a full inpatient residential program, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find assistance with your recovery in other ways.

Others need more than just bi-weekly support groups and outpatient programs, which is where partial hospitalization can help. Read on to learn more about Soba Recovery’s San Antonio Partial Hospitalization Program.

What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)?

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is where you can participate in “day rehab” that is more intensive than outpatient services but without the need for 24/7 monitoring as a residential inpatient program has.

The range or level of care regarding treatment services at San Antonio’s PHP is wide. As part of our day treatment program, you will have between three and six days where you head into our center. We’ll continue your behavioral therapy at our treatment center — but you can leave and sleep in your own bed at home each night.

The main purpose of a PHP is to assist you through your recovery journey while still offering all the support you need. It’s often an intensive, highly-structured short-term program.

It doesn’t leave much time for outside activities, and for people working through their recovery and maintaining stabilization, this can be very beneficial. It allows you to take what you’ve learned in our therapeutic program under the direction of our treatment team and put it into practice at home surrounded by your family members.

What To Expect in a PHP

Partial Hospitalization Programs can vary, but they typically run on a strict daily schedule for several hours each day. You generally arrive in the morning and leave in the mid-afternoon.

You will have daily individual therapy sessions and group meetings, all geared to meet your individual needs. Solo sessions allow you to speak privately about concerns you have. Group therapy brings comfort while instilling a sense of community. Addiction is isolating. Our PHP program provides reassurance that you are not alone and offers healthy places to turn to in times of stress.

Not only do you get help with your substance use disorder, but you can find support for mental health issues like bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders that can benefit from tailored mental health care.

At Soba San Antonio, we work to equip you with the tools you need so that when you leave our facility, you can make healthy choices for your mind and body.

Benefits of Partial Hospitalization Programs

Not everyone can stay overnight for weeks at our facility, but with a PHP you can get the same level of active and intensive care while being able to go back to your family at night.

We work to combine the treatment services necessary to live happily by providing you with coping mechanisms, a chance to relearn essential life skills, and the discovery of a sense of freedom when you go home at night.

You can work on behavioral health problems, medication management, and overall health wellness with our multidisciplinary team. If you are someone who has struggled with the acceptance of entering into an inpatient program, a partial hospitalization might be the right move for you.

The beauty of partial hospitalization programs is their flexibility. You don’t have to drop everything to take an active role in your recovery.

Many people maintain jobs and still participate in gatherings and activities with loved ones. You can have your freedom, but with the knowledge of more accountability by trained health professionals.
